NAStore - Requirements
- NAStore runs under UNIX.
- A special filesystem is required to handle the data
migration. One - DMFS - is being readied for release to
NetBSD;
the SGI DMAPI filesystem could also be adapted for
this purpose.
- The components communicate via TCP/IP.
- The open-source DB3
package is used for databases.
- The supported removable media are manually mounted tapes,
generic SCSI tape autochangers, and StorageTek ACS robots.
The design of NAStore is such that all of these limitations can
be extended with minimal effort.
